I write about classical music and science. I originally trained as a violinist, and have performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician across Canada, UK, and USA. I have a particular interest in 20th-century opera and contemporary music. I also have a PhD in biology, and have done research on viral infections, cancer, and genetics. I’m currently based in New York City.
