I write about music and culture. I’ve covered classical music and opera for over a decade, and have been a classical music critic for The Times and Financial Times. My writing has also appeared in The New York Times, Brooklyn Rail, VAN Magazine, Parterre Box, and Bachtrack, and I’m particularly interested in the intersections between culture, power, and imperialism.
